I am a professional chanter of 'Tokiwazu-bushi'.
That was quite a popular music among common people in Edo,
Meiji and Taisho period.(since 1747)
The 'Tokiwazu-bushi' was born within earshot of 'Kan'ei-ji temple' bell.
It is completely the 'Edo' Tokyo’s traditional culture.
The 'Tokiwazu-bushi' was born in the 'Edo'-place and the 'Edo'-period, and had been growing with the 'Edo'-people.
Hence it is embodied refined, chic and seductive
allure of 'Edo' period to the present day.
If once you visit Japan and you really want to touch the genuine Tokyo’s traditional culture,
I strongly recommend that you experience the 'Tokiwazu-bushi'.
